Mrs. Fulks
**Hello! I’m Mrs. Fulks.**
I’m excited to create an inclusive environment for all my students, both in the classroom and in small groups. I believe that education truly begins when we recognize and embrace each child’s unique abilities and learning styles.
A little bit about me: I began my teaching career right after college, graduating Magna Cum Laude from the University of Houston in 2006. I spent a couple of years teaching special education before taking a break to be a stay-at-home mom. During that time, I subbed at Carpenter Elementary for six years while my own children attended the same school. I’m passionate about the culture at Carpenter Elementary, which is why I’m thrilled to start my second year here as a Special Education Inclusion Teacher and Case Manager.
I’m married to my high school sweetheart, and we’ve just celebrated 17 wonderful years together. We have three amazing children: a high school sophomore, an 8th grader, and our delightful surprise kindergartener. We also share our home with two beloved fur babies. Our family enjoys traveling, attending church, and participating (or spectating while our children play) in a variety of sports, as well as band and orchestra concerts.
I’m looking forward to advocating for my students during the 2024-2025 school year. Let’s work together to make it a fantastic year!
