About Mrs. Wendeburg
My name is Jennifer Wendeburg and I teach 3rd grade Special Education here at Carpenter Elementary. I grew up in Dayton and graduated from Dayton High School. I am a mom of 4 beautiful children, two boys and two girls. Both of my daughters attend Carpenter Elem and my son is right next door at Bonnette Junior High.
I started my career in DPISD as a Special Ed paraprofessional at Fairmont Junior High. I then transferred to Carpenter Elementary because both of my children attended school here and as a mom it made things so much easier! I worked in SLC for 4 years before deciding to return to school to receive my Bachelor's degree and become a certified teacher, so that I could one day have my own classroom. So that is what I did! I attended Lamar University in Beaumont and received my degree from Lamar. I then took a teaching job in Pasadena with their Life Skills class before returning back to my home campus this year to teach 3rd Grade Special Education. This will be my 7th year with DPISD, and I am so excited for what this school year holds!
In the little spare time that I have, I enjoy watching my son play football as well as my two younger kids play soccer. My daughter is taking on a new adventure this year with volleyball, so I am excited about that. I also enjoy listening to music and being outdoors as much as possible.
