Mrs. Lori Anderson » Biography

I received my Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education from the University of Houston Clear Lake. I am currently working on my Masters in Special Education with an Educational Diagnostician Certification. I have been teaching at Carpenter Elementary for 14 years. I am now an Itinerant Dyslexia Teacher in Deer Park ISD. I have the privilege of working with all grade levels. I work at Carpenter and at the High School. I am trained through the Neuhaus Education Center to teach students with dyslexia. I have also been trained to test and identify dyslexia disabilities through Texas Scottish Rite Hospital.
I love teaching basic reading skills to students with dyslexia, because I have not only experienced the teaching side of it, but I have also experienced the parent side. It is my calling to help students with dyslexia be successful readers, just like my daughter has been able to do.
